Carol Ruth Nichols, 70, of Port Neches, Texas, died Saturday, May 17 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Port Neches, Texas.
Carol was a registered nurse for 35 years and retired from UTMB. She was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and active within many areas within the church.
Carol enjoyed going to the casino with her friends. She loved her family and bonus family very much. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and also a nurse for Camp Allen. Family was very important to her.
Carol was very loving to anyone she knew or met her. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Klock of Port Neches, son, Charles Nichols and his wife, Lachelle of Port Arthur, grandchildren, Chasity Smith, Joshua Vavra, Chelsea Setherton, and Tate Nichols. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Daniel Nichols and his family, her sister Dianna Anderson and her family, and her great grandchildren, Natalie Nichols, Kennedy Nichols, Trey Nichols, and Owen Setherton. She was blessed with bonus grandchildren, Ashlyn Harvill, Whitney Griffin, Cailynn Welch, and Jace Harvill, and bonus great-grandchildren, Ivy Stanford, Abella Griffin, Myles Griffin, and Lynnon Griffin, and also a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carol J. Nichols, her father, James Nichols, her sisters, Paula Nichols and Judith Bridges, her brother, James Nichols and her nephews, Clint Elmore, Sammy Elmore, and Trevor Elmore.
