Beverly Maciejko a cherished mother, stepmother, grandmother, wife, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025 at the age of 92.
Born in Smithville, NY, she lived a life marked by resilience, love, and boundless creativity. A graduate of Belleville Union Academy, she devoted herself to her family with quiet strength and remarkable grace.
Together with her first husband Marcel Alexander Poirier, she co-owned and operated a family business built on shared dreams and hard work. They raised five children: Brian, Randall, Marcy, Laura and Nical Poirier. After his passing, she lovingly and courageously raised their young family - each child under the age of 13 - on her own.
Later in life, she found love again with Henry Alexander Maciejko, expanding her family to include 3 beloved stepchildren, Christopher, Stephen and Susan Maciejko. She embraced them with warmth, openness and an abiding heart.
She found beauty in everyday joys - creating unforgetable meals, sewing gifts with care, and cultivating a garden that bloomed with color and love. Ever adventurous, she earned her student pilot license and soared confidently into the sky. In later years, she took pleasure in winemaking with Henry, sharing each bottle with the same joy she brought to every facet of life.
She is survived by her sister Susan Powers of Henderson NY, her children Marcy Poirier of TX, and Nical Kirkland of TX, her stepchildren Christopher Maciejko of NY, Stephen Maciejko of NY and Susan Breuer of GA, Grandchildren Lacin Stansbury, Christopher Place, Dylan Place, Jessica Stephens, Julia Gautreaux, Michael Poirier, Brian Lillie, Scott Lillie, Jordan Breuer, Branden Breuer, Jason Breuer, Abigail Maciejko, Lucas Maciejko, Peter Maciejko and several great grandkids, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Burley Sr and Addie Dack Burley Gould, her brother Kenneth Burley Jr., her husbands Henry Maciejko, Marcel Poirier and her children Brian Poirier, Randall Poirier, and Laura Poirier Jones.
After the passing of her husband in January 2024, she made her home in Texas, where she resided with her daughters. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate support and excellent care during this time.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Her family invites you to honor her in your own special way - plant something beautiful, prepare a favorite recipe, or raise a glass in her memory.
Her legacy of quiet courage, deep love, and joyful creativity lives on in every heart she touched.
