A Life Remembered

Obituary

Betty Gallet, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence in Port Arthur, Texas, on October 4, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on August 25, 1947, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Harris and Rosa Miller, Betty's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her loving spirit. She was a devoted member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where her spiritual journey was a source of great comfort and strength.

Betty found immense joy in the simple pleasures that life offered. She delighted in the thrill of shopping, the excitement of traveling to new places, and the warmth of cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. Her professional life was marked by dedication and kindness as a secretary for the Port Arthur ISD and Kelly High School, where she positively impacted countless students and colleagues. Betty had a special fondness for angels and flowers, which brought beauty and serenity into her home, and she shared an unbreakable bond with her cherished cat, Elvis.

Betty's memory will be forever treasured by her loving husband of 60 years, Donald Gallet; her son, Randal Gallet and his wife, Gina; and her daughter, Melanie Credeur and her husband, Danny. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Cody Credeur and his wife, Erica; Brayden Credeur and his partner, Krysti; and her precious great-granddaughter, Kai Credeur. She will be deeply missed by her niece, Melissa Pena and her husband, Roel, and their daughter, Sophia; and her brothers-in-law, Randy Gallet and Roger Gallet.
