Barbara Nell Goodwin

December 2, 1939 — December 17, 2025

Port Neches, Texas

Barbara Nell Goodwin, of Port Neches, Texas, a beloved matriarch and friend, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on December 2, 1939, in Port Neches, Texas, Barbara exemplified the spirit of love and kindness throughout her life.

Barbara cherished her faith and loved the Lord with her whole heart. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for over 60 years. Her greatest joy was her family, and she lived her life serving them with love, strength, and a touch of unmistakable sass. She shared 63 beautiful years with the love of her life, Billy Goodwin, and when he was called home, Barbara longed to be reunited with him in the presence of Jesus, trusting fully in God’s promise of eternal life.

As a devoted homemaker, Barbara’s home was a place of warmth, welcome, and togetherness. She was known for her thoughtfulness, especially through the handwritten notecards she sent, often decorated with her charming stick-figure drawings that brought smiles to those who received them.

Barbara has now been welcomed home by her Savior and reunited with Billy and their two children, Darren & Karen. Her faith, love, and joyful presence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.

She is survived by her daughter, Ronda Guillot and her husband, Buddy of Port Neches; her grandchildren, April Gonzales and her husband, David, Heather Stewart and her husband, Tyler, Cory Goodwin and his wife, Renee, Kacee Goodwin and her partner, Luis Govea, Holli Kramlick and her husband, Matthew, and Amy Guillot. She also leaves twelve great-grandchildren, along with a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Freddy and Mathilda Seaux; her husband of 63 years, Billy Sherwood Goodwin; her children, Darren Goodwin and Karen Goodwin; and her siblings, Stanford Seaux, Wilford Seaux, Lawrence Seaux, Joyce Faulk, Maudry Faulk, and Dorothy Premeaux.

The visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home located at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, Texas 77627. A funeral Service will follow on December 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with interment at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches following the service.
